The Collective Pain Body Black

Wow, that sounds deep, doesn’t it? And it is. About 400 plus years deep. But not so deep that we can’t transform it. I know, I know. Our fear is that if we change our approach to racism, it’ll let our White family members of the hook. Well not so much if you get what I’m offering. What will happen is that it’ll get us off the hook. The irony of this is that our ancestors knew who they were and acted out of that knowing. However, late 20th Century Black Americans have long been disconnected to the HOW in us. The spirit of knowing how to create change on a deeper level. Our ancestors knew how to “make it over” which is why we are here. Now, we’ve got to reconnect with that knowing and allow the “change to come”
